Acronis True Image Home 2011 recovery does not start

Thread needs solution

hi,
Today i downloaded the bootable Media ATIH2011_en-US.iso from "my account" area of Acronis site, and i then burned it to a CD. When I boot from that CD on my system having troubles troubles, it says "Starting Acronis Loader" and then lets me select "Acronis True Image Home(full version)" which opens a blue Acronis screen that says "Processing" for about 5 minutes, after which it kicks me back to the black dos boot up screen. Why is it not opening the Acronis screen from which i can do a restore?
thanks for any help,
Luke

I haven't used 2011 in awhile but does it have the option to create a bootable recovery disk from within the program? You might try that if the option is available.

Hi David,
Thank you for your response. I tried that. I installed ATI 2011 this morning on an unaffected computer, and created a "bootable media" cd from there. Same result on my computer that will not boot. Hangs at "processing" for about 5 minutes, and then exits

I went to My Account at Acronis and downloaded the bootable ISO image for ATI2011. Burned it to disk and verified the disk. There are 18 files showing on the burned disk. I could not get the disk to boot. It just bypassed the CD and booted normally into windows.

Next, I inserted my ATI2014 recovery CD and restarted the computer. This disk booted correctly into the recovery environment and all the features seem to work correctly.

I tried the 2011 recovery disk again with the same results. I never get to the Linux environment. Looks like just a normal start right into Windows with nothing in between.

Not sure where that leaves you but thought I'd pass it along.
