Thread needs solution

true image backup archive explorer cannot find timntr_2k.sys

Where can I download this sys file.

Note:-
Device Manager has exclamation on Acronis TrueImage Backup Archive Explore and when I try to update the driver to correct the error the system cannot find timntr_2k.sys

Which version of Windows and which version of TrueImage?

Restart the TI install program and choose the REPAIR option.
Otherwise, uninstall and re-install.

I've found this www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/help-timntr_2k-sys.91863/ and it has cured the driver error.

The program still will not add an existing incremental backup to the acronis system as the program says it should :(

All acronis seems to do is go %100 percent CPU for a long time then the list of backups is just the same.

It seems the acronis system is going to force me to do a complete new backup of 90GB of data when all I want to do is add a few MB's of new files to my backup. Which is 2 days of work using a USB drive.

Very disappointed that this process is more complicated than it should be!

XP Acronis 2013

Disable the scan for backups option which reads your files each time it starts. Item 8 ihside my signature.

Please explain "will not add an existing increment to tghe system". Have you tried the method of GH21 below?

GH21. How to add backup files to the listing of backup tasks for assorted uses             such as validation or recovery or add missing files to backup tasks. Highlight all the inc plus the initial full and choose the "add to task"option. The inc can only be added to the prior full.

Thanks GroverH.

It looks like my (user error) from looking at your example.

I was adding the last incremental and not highlighting all the subsequent incremental plus the (master) full backup :(
