Hi Billy,
OEM or bundled versions of Acronis are supported by the hardware vendor. WD in this case. They are responsible for licensing and assisting you with the drive you purchased from them. OEM software is typically many versions old and often comes with reduced functionality.

We do not have access to the version you have, or knowledge of its feature set. This is dictated and customized by WD. If the bootable media does not start, it might have to do with a BIOS setting, a connected device or an issue with the media you are booting from. It not that we don't want to help you, we just don't have access to what you are using. What troubleshooting steps have you performed?

Thanks, Shadowsports,

The version is acronis 2013. I did not use bootable media. I used the automatic setting on cloning the drive.
On my older desktop, the clone worked fine. On my Asus md11, the bios rejected the acronis loader. I had to enter the bios and change the boot setting away from acronis to get my system to come up.
Thanks for your response.

Billy,
For cloning, we recommend using boot media. New disk (target) get installed in place of the drive it will replace. Disk you are cloning from can be connected via USB adapter.

This might help. Select Cloning using boot media

This is a video tutorial for cloning a laptop, but the premise is generally the same.
