Greetings:
What product version and build are you trying to install?

Acronis 7.0, 8... 2011, 2014, build 6681, 6673.. I'm not familiar with any product "Acronis II" (maybe you mean 11)

Please provide your system specs, basic hardware info and OS.

What specific problem or error did you experience or receive?

And last, what troubleshooting steps have you performed?

Hi
Thank in responde vous

Yes must be 11
am migrating to new syst4em

XP sp3
Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @2.4g
3.48 RAM
SATA HDD

installed ATI 11 on new sys
seemed to make image Ok ( validated .tib with resident ATI 11 )
seemed to make a new ATI boot disk ok

Tried to boot with boot disk
says pls wait etc
goes to blue ATI start-up screen
then goes to blank black screen and hangs.

Tried to boot from OLD ATI boot disk ( which works fine on single-core sys )
Same result, hangs at same point.

Any ideas ?

I experienced this same issue on a dual core machine and found the trick to be once the Acronis screen showed I had to quickly mouse click on the logo to start the application. If no action was taken I would have the same result as you.

No That didnt make a difference,
I get menu for
true image home
diskcleanser
start windows

clicking the windows option works
didnt try the wiper (dont wanna go near that !)

clicking true image home gets welcome screen, then black screen for ever.

If I buy 2015 version, may be in exact same position,
ie: it wont work,
and no-one knows what problem is ................ ?

It sounds like possibly your video card does not have a compatible driver in the recovery media you are using. If you have onboard video I would attempt switching to that and try again.

Hi,

The RGB monitor cable is plugged into the motherboard at the backplate,
so I assume it is already onboard.

There are no add-on cards at all in the AGP / PCI rack below

?

You should recreate the boot media in the event that the current Acronis application on the boot media is corrupt. If that doesn't work I am out of ideas at this point.
