Add existing backup (build 6613)
Hi,
This is my scenario:
Took File and Folders backup of my media USB drive, backing up to my NAS drive over FTP. Around 150GB, which over the home network took a while. Acronis split the tibs into 2GB chunks. So far, so good.
Few weeks later, and after many daily incremental backups, Windows took a dump on my, so i had to reinstall. PITA, but im running fine now.
So, reinstalled ATI2015 6613. Attempted to add the existing backup to the list, from the FTP:
- Add Backup
- Add Existing Backup. Created a new FTP connection, tested the connection, all good so far.
- Locate the TIB files in the folder on the FTP.
The ADD button is greyed out, ad there is nothing i can do about it.
I really need to add these back into Acronis - not to restore as i keep important files seperate from the operating system drive and they survived; but just to resume my back up and have access to previous incremental data, not to mention waiting all day for a new backup to complete from new. The checkbox above the TIB file names seems pointless too. Doesn't do much.
Can someone please let me know where im going wrong? Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Works perfectly fine in ATI 2014...

I don´t think, Acronis support reads this forum (:((

your picture would seen to imply that no file has been selected (no files checked). If you wish to add a chain of several files, each individul file will be check marked for selection before pressing the "add to list" option.
Having the files show in TrueImage windows installation is not a requrement to recovery.
Remember, if the tib file is accessible via the TrueImage Recoovery CD, then the file can be restored without any involvement of Windows.
When booted from the TI CD, choose the recovery option and then browse to the location where file is stored.
From there any tib file can be restored.

Thanks for you comment.
The thing is, i cannot select any. There are no checkboxes against any of the file to allow them to be selected. If i check the box at the top, they still remain greyed out.

There is a checkbox left to "name". When you check this box, all these files listet below (and even more belonging to your file and folders backup) are selected.
The files shown in your screenshot are only part of your full file backup. You can´t select only one single 2 GByte part of your backup.

Thats what im saying, when i select the box next to 'name', the Add button remains greyed out.

I just tried to add backup from my Synology NAS and did so without any issues. I am running 6613 under Windows 10.
