After Recover a disc image the partition is not allocated

Thread needs solution

Hello from Germany,

I have a great problem, please there is someone who can help me? I am using Vista, Samsung Laptop and ATI Home
6053. I've made Image Backup for Drive C and D. Now I need a recovery of drive C:. I startet the recovery from vista. all is OK. ATI show's me after a reboot a window that recovery is working. The image-file is stored on USB-drive. After this the Laptop makes a reboot, but nothing works. With the Partition manager i can see that partition C is not allocated, partition for system-files is active, nothing works. when i startet ati with the security - CD, I can not recover because system say's image files are destroyed. After installing new windows and ati, the files are correct and ati worked with, but in the same way ;-((.

Please anyone an idea?

Hello Paul,

Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help.

The improper recovery under Windows may be fixed by installing the latest build of the program. We have released a new build of Acronis True Image Home 2010 # 7046. I recommend you to update the software to the latest build.

Here is the article available in our Knowledge base:
You can learn more on how to download the latest build in this article. Update the program and see if the issue remains.

About the recovery from Acronis Bootable Media. If I correctly understood you, the CD is unable to see the archives saved to your external hard drive. Please use the Browse for backup button. This button is available at the right upper corner of the Data recovery and backup management window.

Please let us know the results, we should be sure that the program runs flawlessly. If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other questions do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.

Thank you.

Shortly to the second... :-)

I can see the files but if I select one of them i get the error message like : "the archive is destoyed". But when I start over windows the same files are correct.

Thx for the answer. ;--)

 Hello Paul,

Thank you for your reply.

Could you please provide us with the exact text of the error message? You can type it in German.

We are awaiting for your response.

Please do not hesitate to ask additional questions if the provided information is not clear or you need a further assistance.

Thank you.

Hallo Oleg,

Melde mich dann wieder.

Vielen Dank für die Hilfe.

Paul

Hello Paul,

Thank you for your response.

Actually, I asked to type only the error message in German :) It looked rather strange. "Archive is corrupted" is another deal, the error is well-known.

Please try the new build (don't forget the recreate Acronis Bootable Media) and let us know the results.

We are looking forward to hearing back from you. If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other questions do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.

Thank you.
