Application Event Error when opening "true image 2010 update 7046 April 1st 2010"

Installed the true image update 7046 April 1st 2010 yesterday and although the splash screen eventually appears it takes about 30 seconds.

The Event viewer Application states "Failed to connect to server error 0x 800401 msi installer" I have re-installed three times but with no effect.

any advice appreciated

Added to the above, I reinstalled the previous version 6053 and this opened up as required with no comments in the event viewer application list. But... it now will not open up at all.

My os was installed again today with no problems that I could see. It is xp pro sp 3 any help much appreciated, thanks.
