Archive copied from xdrive is not valid or corrupted

Thread needs solution

Hi,

today I made a complete backup of my C: - drive. As backup files are more and
more growing I made ATI store it in a netdrive. The validation was ok.
Later I started a recovery of this archive to restore the complete old version of C: .
This operation (ca 30min) started ok but stalled with 34 seconds left.
After waiting for additional 30 minutes I switched the PC off.
(I guess at this point the network-driver was being corrupted due to restoring,
so the program couldn't contact the netdrive any more)
Now I'm trying to get up and running with a boot-CD.
Acronis runs fine, but the netdrive can't be found.
So I copied two archives to a neighbor-pc.
The files are found there but reported corrupt.

Just now I found out that the boot-CD had been created with ATI 7 and the files have been built with ATI 11 !

How can I get out of this trap?

Regards
Detlef

Hello Detlef!

Welcome to our Forum, we're glad to greet you here. I understand your concern, and will do my best to help you.

In case the images were made with Acronis True Image Home 11, and the CD - with Acronis True Image Home 7, then they won't be recognized, and you need version 11 bootable media.

In order to obtain it please register your Acronis True Image Home 11 here. After that please download the ISO from your account as mentioned here, burn it onto the CD and perform the recovery. This should solve the issue.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!
