ATHI 2011 - How to get refund ?

Don't know if it is linked to my french release of atih 2011 but enough is enough, don't want to spend an other weekend with this merdique soft so can someone help to get refund because I don't find how.

My PC is on Win XP Pro SP3.

I've used TI09 TI11 TIH2009 and finaly TIH2011.

TIH2011 is slow when you have network shares (which are all online in my case)

TIH2011 crash for unknow reason (a real crash with send report and Co)

It is no more possible to backup on a FTP server (synology in my case), yes you can connect, select the share and that is all after you have the marvelous self explaining message "cannot create file ftp://192.168.1.2:21/." (yes the dot at the end is in the message).

As FTP is not working you try to access your favorite NAS (synology in my case) with samba and then you are prompted for a user and password... But in my case I've no password so TIH2011 is unable to connect to my network shares...cool.... Cannot it use the current user ?.

So I define a user/pass on the NAS that has access to the backup folder on the nas, set it in TIH2011 which now can access the folder, perform the backup....and....
I don't know what this merdique software has done but now I don't have access to my usual network shares, it is like if I was having the backup user rights even after closing TIH2011.. close session restart session...

So all that said, I think I'm fully ready for a refund and to try an other brand of backup tool (any advices are wellcome) after so many years with acronis (DD + TI).

Hi Dex,

I understand your frustration. 2011 has definitely some issues. Some can be worked around, some not.

This forum is sporadically monitored by Acronis employees, all other postings are from other users like you (including me).

Your best chance is to contact Acronis customer support through the web site to get a refund.

The exact same problem with user credentials and FTP. The only difference is that my Nas is still in 2.3 (3.0 has had some problems corrected by a patch).
I've logged a call to acronis customer support, seems to me that they were more acronis employees when the forum was hosted in the older place (wildersecurity or something like that).
