ATI 2010 - Failed to find file/Wake from Hibernatrion
Greetings ... my first post!
Regarding ATI 2010:
Today I noticed that last night's scheduled task ended with the message "Completed with Errors". Research indicates that it could not find a folder that I had deleted. Hmmmm. Also it did not appear to write a tib file. Two questions:
1. Is this telling me that I have to edit my task when I delete an item that is in a backup?
2. Shouldn't "Completed with Errors" really say "Aborted with Errors"? "Completed" implies that just that file or folder was skipped. Perhaps I am missing something here.
So, I went in to edit the task and the folder was no longer listed in the backup. Hmmm number 2. So I started it manually and it worked fine.
Any feedback on this would be appreciated.
A separate point and this is just my opinion:
When I was in the trial period I noticed that the software would not wake the disk drives from hibernation and research on these forums indicates that the user (as in "me") has to add an entry to the task scheduler. I understand all that but even itty bitty "Nero Back It Up" will do that for you. I'm amazed, really amazed at this glaring hole in this software.
I bought ATI 2010 anyway because it is a workable solution for my Window 7 x64 workstation but in all honesty, and as someone that writes software for a living, my faith in the Windows 7 logo program is a tad shaken.

Is it still true that TIH 2010 latest release cant wake windows 7 from its scheduler? If so, is that something that Acronis is going to fix?

Wake-up from e.g. Suspend-to-Disk to run an Acronis-Task...
Hi,
is it the simplest and practicablest way to solve the wake-up-problem?
I think: no. At first, in my Environment (Windows 7 (German) / ATI2010) the path to ‘TrueImageService.exe’ is ‘C:\Program Files\Common Files\Acronis’. ;-)
Second, I think, it is simpler to handle all Acronis-Tasks inside TIH2010. In this case, e.g. to wake-up the Computer from Suspend-to-Disk, you need a Windows Task to start up the computer without any reference to an Acronis-Task only (possible the Acronis-Task names will change). When the Windows task starts the computer, the Acronis-Task will execute automatically.
Example: Look at startup time from your Acronis task. Create a Windows task, User account undepended, with the same Time-/Trigger-parameter (but round about 5 minutes earlier), e.g. a Message windows as an action and as condition ‘reactivate the Computer to run a Task’. Ready.
When your Acronis-Task is defined daily at 8:00 pm then the Windows Task reactivates the Computer from e.g. ‘Suspend-to-Disk’ at 7:55 pm every day and the Acronis-Task starts at 8:00 pm. To save energy the last Acronis task then can shutdown the computer.
