ATI 2011 with dynamic disks

Thread needs solution

I see that ATI2011 does not support dynamic disks. How general a statement is that?

I always partition my hard drives. The OS and any other programs that need to be in the same partition are in the C partition. Programs are in a second and data is in a third partition. Than there are partitions for backups, etc.

Unfortunately HP, in their infinite wisdom, has made my laptop (Win 7 64) with dynamic disks. Why, I don't know.

I use an Acronis bootable CD for all backup and restore tasks on my PCs. and make a seperate image for each partition every month.

Suppose I just something bad/stupid/whatever that left the OS fubar. Will I be wasting my time trying to restore it with an .tib image of the partition?

ATI 2011 with the Plus Pack is supporting dynamic disks, with some limitations: http://kb.acronis.com/content/6533

I am afraid that you would have issues trying to restore whatever you backed up without the Plus Pack, but I didn't try that case...
