ATI 2011 Start Over
I have 2011 loaded and it has been doing backups for a couple weeks after I had to do a recovery due to a failed drive. The recovery was rough and took a lot of time. This was mainly because the weekly backups were not apparently actually happening... long story...
In any case, I want to kind of start over.
When I bring up the full page I see a number of My Backups. One is related to the old image which I still have and recovered from. I have moved the Image for this to another external disk for safe keeping. So I assume that I can remove this entry but still be able to restore the image if I point to it specifically if I had to.
One is the new backup I setup.
And there are a few more which I'm guessing was when I was setting up the product originally.
I'd like to move the restore image that I have to another off system disk which I assume I could then restore again if I needed. Can I delete the MyBackup entries for that backup??
I would also like to wipe the current backup and reset it up from scratch. Currently it backs up once a week and I want it to backup daily late at night. I also for some weird reason started the backups to one location which I then changed, so I am not clear if I can remove the initial backup
Lastly, I want to remove the other entries which I don't know what they are as I don't have images to go with them.
Attached is what i see when I look at MyBackups. Note that one of them is actively backing up right now. that is my current backup. I want to wipe that one and start over. (after it completes of course).
I did BTW purchase the upgrade to 2012, but after seeing all the apparently problems that other users are having with it, I am extremely reluctant to load it. I think I will wait until it has been out longer to get the bugs worked out.

In general:
- you can remove (not delete) tasks. This takes out the scheduling, settings of the task and its validation out, but not the TIB files.
- I prefer the following: move the TIB files you want to keep for safekeeping to another directory, delete the corresponding tasks, set up a new task.
If you install 2012, create a backup before the install. Disable your security software, install 2012. I did a couple of installs of 2012 now, and I have problems whether I left 2011, uninstall it, cleaned it up. Yesterday I had a picture perfect install just by leaving 2011 install, disabling the AV. 2012 works great for imaging. Some showstopper bugs for file backup and email backup.
