ATI 2012 5545: prevents computer from sleeping after backup if ImageMonitor.exe is running
I noticed that my computer was not going to sleep any longer. When I press the standby button, the computer seems to go into the same hybrid sleep mode as the one when the "prevent computer idle to sleep" when sharing media (this option is off, by the way).
I ran some test and discovered that:
- the computer goes to sleep normally before ATI runs a backup,
- after ATI has run a backup interactively or by schedule, the computer doesn't sleep any longer,
- restarting the computer returns the situation to normal.
If, however, the trueimagemonitor.exe startup item is disabled, the problem doesn't show: the computer goes to sleep normally in all cases.
Once the computer doesn't sleep, killing the trueimagemonitor.exe process doesn't solve the problem.
Note: both in the scheduler advanced options and the validation scheduler advanced options, the option to prevent the computer from sleeping is NOT checked.
