ATI 2014 doesn’t reboot!

Thread needs solution

When trying a badly needed restore, ATI tries to restore without restarting the system, announces that the process will take more than 4 hours (it took 8-10 minutes in the past) and soon announces that it cannot delete lots of files (that probably are running in the background, Norton and such) and stops.

Somebody knows what happens? Is that a known issue?

(ATI 2014 build 6673 up-to-date, Windows 7)

Greetings,
Without knowing more about the environment or system, it sounds like you are trying to restore files that might be locked or in use by the OS. (Guessing?). Normally Acronis can use its own version of shadow copy to perform this operation.

If you aren't having luck, I would suggest creating an Acronis Boot CD and try performing the operation using it. If you want us to spend more time trying to determine why the task is not working in windows, we are going to need additional information.

Thank you shadowsports.
I already restored using the boot CD. I just wanted to bring to your attentions this weird behavior, perhaps this will interest the programmers.
