ATI 9 Recovery CD will not Load Backup Archive From USB-Connected Disk
Using ATI 9, I am trying to transfer my whole-disk backup (archived .tbd file) that is on an external hard drive connected via USB port onto a new (replacement) internal "C" drive, but launching the Recovery Disk that I made on the internal CD ("D") drive (in "Full recovery" mode, not "Safe Mode") does not see the external hard drive; it only sees my blank (newly replaced) internal "C" drive and the internal CD ("d") drive.
Solution?

Thank you for those tips, but I had already tried them to no avail.
When I make a back up or a recovery (entire disk of just files) from the ATI program itself it recognizes the external drive, but not when I use the recovery boot disk even though I use the "full" version (not the "safe mode version").

When booted from the CD, be sure and unfold the directory tree inside the left pane. Sometimes you may need to move the right pane laterally in order to see a backup file.
If you are truly having a problem with the CD, you could download the iso file from your personal Acronis registration account and burn the iso onto a new CD as an image. While the content of both CD's are the same, the latter may give you a better burn but it's a shot in the dark, anyway.
If the external disk is one of the newer larger sizes, the Version 9 CD may not have the drivers for it. You could maybe copy the backup file to a smaller older usb disk. Or, another possibility would be to uninstall version 9 and install the trial version of 2012 and make a 2012 CD which should see the newer external disk.

Your last suggestion did the trick. The external drive connected via USB cable is a 2 TB drive, and the ATI 9 recovery disk must not have had the drivers to load for recognizing it but the 2012 version did.
