ATI can't find backup file it just created

Thread needs solution

ATI 2015 I just created a new backup and choose Files & Folders; and backup to an external hard drive. Upon completion I wanted to make sure it was working well, so clicked on Recover Files. ATI gives error message that it can not find the backup or that it has been moved. The *.tib file exists on the external hard drive. Browsing to the location from within ATI or typing in the location does not solve the problem.

Before doing the above I just updated the program.

The same problem occurs when just backing up a couple of files to desktop so as to rule out some issue with external HD.

Thanks for any help.

Edward, welcome to these User Forums.

Before doing the above I just updated the program.

What did you update from / to per the above?

Have you checked the log for your backup task to see if that gives any indication of any issue?

The MVP Log Viewer tool (link below) can be used to view the log files.

Have you restarted Windows to see if the same issue is still present?

I've experienced the same issues as described by E. Alpern.  Checked log files, rebooted Windows, all to no avail.. Hoping for posting of a remedy before I delete ATI and try a different product altogether.

Wolf, welcome to these User Forums.

Sorry but am not aware of any similar problems being reported via these forums and not something that I have experienced myself, so more information would be needed to try to understand why you and Edward are seeing such problems?

What build of ATI 2015 is being used here?  The final full ATI build was #6613.

What storage media is being used for holding the backup files, how is this formatted?

What Windows OS version is being used here?
