ATI2014: Scheduled Backup fails to run in Windows 7 (x64) Sleep mode

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I have a scheduled daily backup for a hdd that fails to wake up Windows 7 (x64) from sleep mode.
When I wake up windows from sleep mode manually, the backup starts to run.

However the other scheduled backups (different hdd) on the same machine are runing as expected and wake up Windows from sleep mode automatically.

I have checked the advanced setting of the backup and the options "Wake up the Computer from sleep mode" and "Prevent the Computer to switch to power saving mode" are both enabled.

I already tried to recreate the job, but this did not helped either.

There are no particular energy saving options for both target and source hdd in windows device manager.

Any advice on how to troubleshoot is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Bodo

One of the first places I would check would be the target device and and see if Windows (or the device) has put the device to sleep.

sometime this is a power configuration issue where the coputer is set to max performance rather than a more conservative setting.
Check particulrly the power scheme as to how it is set on usb devices.

Thanks Grover, I looked at Windows power schema for its disk drive setting and it's set to "Turn off disk drive after": 0 minutes

What/where is the storage location?" Is the target of the backup a usb external, or internal or network or nas, etc?

Target and source drives of the backup are both internal SATA-drives.
I have also an internal ssd drive installed on the same machine for which I setup a different scheduled backup.

I know that the ATI scheduled backups for my internal SSD drives wakes up windows, so as a workaround I scheduled the
backup for the SATA drives to run 30 minutes after the scheduled backup for the SSD drives.
This works now, however I can't figure out why the scheduled backup for the SATA drives alone
did not wake up Windows from sleep mode.
