ATI2015 Extremely poor performance

Thread needs solution

I upgraded from ATI2014 to ATI2015. The upgrade imported my existing backups. One backup seems to be performing OK, but the other, an incremental backup which would complete in 2.5 hours for a full backup and about 30 minutes for an incremental followup now says that it will take over 2 DAYS to backup. After leaving it for over 8 hours, the progress bar and estimated remaining time indicted that 2 full days would actually be required.

Since then I have tried many combinations of compression and priority to try to speed this up. Nothing has worked. What I have noticed is that my system is very snappy when a backup is running. This was not true before. The old backup had a high priority set and the system was extremely sluggish. I also have noticed that the priority slider will sometimes jump back to low after I have set it to high or medium. I think that the priority setting is not being saved or used when running incremental backups.

I ran the old backup under 2014 then again right after the upgrade, so there were absolutely no changes to my system in between. I noticed another user on the forum (new to Acronis) was getting 6 days for his estimated backup time.

Has anyone else had this problem with incremental backups?

I don't see the same issue you have on a windows 8.1 computer. I upgraded from 2014 to 2015 in place and I don't notice a performance issue.
I would uninstall, use the cleanup utility, reboot and reinstall the software. Make sure you don't have any defrag task running while the backup is going.
