ATIH 2011 Update 6942 works fine initially then crashes

Thread needs solution

I have an original Acronis True Image Home 2011 and it always worked fine. Now I had to download and install the update 6942 and this worked perfectly also and installation was succesfull. But when I made a complete system backup of 2:49 hours I see as result it contained 0 bits. Now I cannot  even start up the program any more. The Welcome screen is frozen and no reaction at all. My security protection is Avast Internet Security and gives 'You system is protected'. I do have Spybot S & D Immunisation also active. A system file scan sfc/scannow gives as result: No problems of integrity found and and a full Surface scan of the external HD gives used gives as result: No faulty/unreadable sectors were found. The program has worked surely because with the Back-up Assistant it could make a back-up of Documents folder (4.7GB). Attachments: 5 Txt files of the Acronis System Report

P.S. When the progam started it also said: 'Cannot connect to the Update Server', with the original version it did connect to the Update Server.

Hello W73X,

I would recommend you to remove the installation using instructions from the following article, then re-download the installation file and check it for integrity. If the file has been downloaded completely, please re-attempt the installation. Right-click on the installation file and Run as Administrator. I'd also suggest temporary disabling the anti-virus software.

Thank you,
