ATIH Progress

Thread needs solution

I was wondering if Acronis has released a new build of ATIH 2013 that gives us the option of having ATIH leave our file names alone. Or, does the program still have the annoying problem of modifying the file name we give it.

Thanks,

Tim

You can set a name for your backup, to which ATI will add standard suffixes to describe the nature of the backup file.

By default, True Image 2013 creates for each backup task a folder with a backup task name and keeps in this folder all related backups. A backup filename always contains a task name, a backup method, a backup number, and a sequential file number (if the backup is split into several files, the suffixes with be v1, v2, etc.). Optionally, you may add to the name, date, time, etc. by adding the appropriate macros.

Suffixes are:

b = the number of the backup chain
s = the number of slice (the full is slice #1, an incremental or a differential is a following slice
v = the number of the volume (if there is no file splitting, v is always 1)

There's an old saying that All good things must come to an end.
