ATIH2011 with +Pack (build 6597) and DiskDirector11 (build 2121)

Thread needs solution

Hi All,

With previous versions of ATIH and DD10 I have always been able to use the 'Rescue Media' to create ASZ, make an image in the ASZ and also 'Activate ASZ (F11). It was with the update to ATIH 2010 build 7046 that this functionality stopped.

I read the the following article http://kb.acronis.com/content/11203 which states that the functionality has returned with ATIH 2011 build 6597. I can confirm the ability to create and see the ASZ from the 'Rescue Media' is there and of course I can create an image in the ASZ but what I'm unable to to do is actually activate the ASZ from the 'Rescue Media'.

I had thought this functionality would have returned with the ability to create/see the ASZ with the Recue Media??

Am I missing something and can anyone else activate their ASZ (F11) from the 'Rescue Media' with ATIH 2011 build 6597, with PlusPack build 6597 and DiskDirector 11??

In ATI 2011, the F11 key is for the Acronis Recovery Manager. You can activate it from the recovery media. Is this what you mean by Activate the ASZ?

Hi Pat,

Yes that is exactly what I mean. I want to to have the ability to once again activate the Acronis Recovey Manager from the Rescue Media/Boot CD.

You say you can activate it from the recovery media?? I am unable to, as I just get told that the files required are not on the CD and to try using the boot cd or within windows. I have tried all sorts of configurations ATIH 2010 / 2011 with DiskDirector 10/11 and all the various builds but no joy.

On some configurations I can get the Acronis Recovery Manager to activate and I get the 'Press F11 on boot' but once I press F11 I get some error message to the effect 'Boot Menu cannot be started' or something similar. Then as I've said on the any of the newest builds 5519, 6574 or 6597 along with DiskDirector11 I just get told 'Required Files are not on the CD'??

Any help would be appreciated. I should add I've logged into my acronis account and downloaded the 'Boot Media' too for each of the versions and still the same 'Required files....'

Hey,

Well, you got me here!

Although I saw the option to activate it from the recovery media, I didn't try it with my current 6597 build and I have the same issue you have "the files are not on the CD"...
I can activate it alright from Windows though...

Sorry, this is now beyond my competence...
