ATIH9 and Network Shares

Thread needs solution

I have a licensed copy of ATIH9 installed on an older XP SP3 laptop. On the network there are 5 wired computers: 2 Win7, 1 Win8, 2 XP. All boxes can see and share all shares among all computers, UNTIL I install ATIH9 onto the XP laptop. After the installation the laptop can still see the other shares, but NONE of the other boxes can open shares on the laptop. If I uninstall ATIH9 from the laptop, the problem disappears. If I then re-install ATIH9 to the laptop, the problem reappears.

Frankly, no clue here on what's happening.

Greetings,
ATIH 9 used someting called Back Up Location. When a destination directory is created, you are able to select it as a back up location. A backup.cfg file is created in that location and it used by the software to identify the location for back ups.

I wonder if this is related to the behavior your describe? The program itself does not change the way windows operates. Meaning the default behavior of the OS and how it identifies itself to other network devices is not changed. I am not sure from your post if you are having issues with all shares or just those being used for back ups?
