Auto Shut Down Hangs

TIH= version 5560
OS= Windows 8 64-bit

I have a Disk/Partition backup that I used in version TIH 2013 and it word in Windows 8 OK. However, It doesn't in TIH 2014.

Here's what I did.
1. Boot my computer.
2. Logged on the Login screen. The Start screen appeared.
3. Set the display screen to turn off after 1 minute.
4. Shut down the computer.
5. Boot up my computer.
6. Logged on the Login screen. The Start screen appeared.

The backup started at the correct time. Soon after that I left and the drive that holds the backup was blinking, as it should. I didn't check it when I returned home, but the next morning the computer and drives were still on. I moved my mouse to wake up the display and opened the Desktop. The Desktop had a taskbar message that it was going to shut down; which it did. Under TIH 2013 It would shut down from that Start Screen.

Does TIH2014 not work properly from the Start Screen?
