Backup 3 SOHO PCs to a common backup file server?
Hi,
I have a SOHO network with 3 workstations, and an additional file server where I will store backups. For energy and reliability reasons, I would like the backup server to go to sleep whenever no backups are running. Question: can True Image Home send WOL packets to wake up the backup server when a backup should start?

Thinking about this more, I suppose there would (in theory at least) be two possible ways to approach this:
a) 3 instances of TI one running on each workstation: each instance can (should) wake up the file server, and each independantly backs up from the workstation to the file server ("push" backup)
b) only one instance of TI running on the file server: it would (should) wake up the workstation, back up from the workstation to the file server ("pull" backup)
Question is which (if any) of the above would work?
Certainly b) would be cheaper in terms of software costs.
