backup and restore disk with GPT partitions

Thread needs solution

Hi.
I try trial version of true image 2013 on my notebook ASUS A55vd with win8.
If i make a backup of entire dick (with partition recovery, system, reserved and primary (C:\ and D:\DATA) and then with gparted i vancel GPT partition and install linux, then can i restore disk image ?
And then do then F9 key works ? (for restore the notebook under the conditions of Manufact)

I am not sure I understand what you want to do. Let me try to reformulate:

- you have a laptop with Win 8 installed on a GPT disk,
- you want to replace this installation by a Linux installation, but you have to delete the Windows partitions and conver the disk to MBR,
- you are asking if you can later restore the disk to Win8.

The answer is yes, and you have 2 options:
- you can reconvert the disk back to GPT and restore the image as is,
- you can leave the disk as MBR, restore the C:\system partition only and use the Windows 8 installation DVD to rebuild the boot records and configuration.

i ask if when i later restore image the hidden partition (where is installed win8 and drivers) it's ok, so i can reboot pc with F9 and reinstall win8.

My problem is that ASUS don't gived me the installation DVD, but there is a hidden partition on hd where are stored win 8 + drivers. When i restore this partition works ?
