Backup Error

Thread needs solution

I have deleted all my backup jobs and settings and created a new one. When it is almost done it fails saying it cannot find or open a previous path and backup I had previousley deleted.  How do I stop Acronis from looking for that past .tib so my new backups will complete?

It sounds very much like your Acronis database is still hold information for the deleted backup jobs / settings if you are getting this sort of error message and failure.

Please navigate in Windows Explorer to C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\ and rename the Database folder found there to Database.Old.  You will need to either boot into Windows Safe Mode or stop all the Acronis Services and Processes to be allowed to do the rename.

To stop the Services, type Services at the Start >> Run prompt and then right-click on each Acronis service found in the Services window and take the option to Stop the service.

To stop the Programs, open Windows Task Manager (right-click on the bottom status bar to select) and end each Acronis Process shown.

Note: C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\ may be hidden on some systems - change the Explorer View options to show hidden files & folders if needed.
