Backup from ftp server?

I am aware that Acronis True Image 2010 is capable of backing up local files onto an ftp server, but could somebody please tell me if it's possible to do the reverse - i.e. backup files from an ftp server to a local computer?

It would be very handy to automate the backing up of my website data on a daily basis.
