Backup names screwy

Thread needs solution

TIH 2011

I deleted all my backup jobs and rebuilt each one (using the same default settings).

It appears that TIH2011 has a problem regarding backup names. SOMETIMES it will accept and use the name I have typed into the Backup Name field. Other times, it will instead choose to use the logical disk name. The list below is the high-level name of the backup in Windows Explorer:

C_H2_Boot_(C)2.tib (Should have been C_Image)
D_Image.tib
E_Image.tib
G_Image.tib
I_Image.tib
ST2_Store3_(K).tib (Should have been K-Image)

As you can see, TIH2011 refuses to use the name I have typed into the Backup Name field for the C: and K: logical drives.

Is this a known bug? Or any idea why TIH2011 is selective in the backup naming process?

ATI 2011 is tricky when you input the backup name. You have to be sure you have:
- created your backup folder before opening ATI,
- while setting up your new task, clicked on "destination", selected browse,
- double-clicked your way until you have opened the destination folder,
- entered your desired TIB name at that point,
- saved and checked it was saved properly.
