Backup & Restore System Partition

Thread needs solution

OK so here’s the deal, I have recently had to restage My Lenovo Yoga Ideapad. The windows backup options aren’t so great the last time I ended up using The Lenovo restore utility which at least didn’t compromise the Backup files and tools kept on the System restore partition “D”
This bring me to my question. I need to be able to backup and restore my system partition. I bought Acronis specifically for that purpose However when it came time to do a restore TrueImage notified me that restoring from the backup that I had created risked deleting the other drive/partition “D”. Short version of this story is This is not an acceptable solution. So; Question. Can Acronis backup and then restore a system partition without compromising other partitions?

REALLY???

Does anyone actually watch these forums. I wouldn't have thought this was that difficult of a question.

Should I take that to meant that the producers of Acronis are loosing belief in their product. Perhaps that it's soon to disappear from the market? Not a real confidence builder.

Shame really, I've always recommended it to others

You need to create an backup of the entire disk, not of the C:\ partition only. When you restore, you can restore the C:\ only if you choose to do so.

Also remember that this is a user to user forum, infrequently visited by Acronis staff. If you want to talk to Acorns, use customer support.
