Backup of Windows 8 system, with EFS files - best practices help sought!

Thread needs solution

I will be traveling with my laptop.
My goal, prior to traveling, is to make a backup (or, if needed, more than one backup) to protect against data loss.

After reading the limited threads, and documentation excerpts, dealing specifically with EFS encryption (not bitlocker), I am confused - and therefore seeking advice - on the best practices for backing up systems which contain EFS encrypted folders.

Laptop Configuration:
Windows 8 OS (Microsoft Windows [Version 6.2.9200]
SSD with OS
2 x 500 GB HDD - used independently (no RAID)
All GPT/NTFS
EFS encryption used on many folders across all storage devices

Acronis:
ATI 2015, Build 6525
Other related thread: https://forum.acronis.com/forum/78357
Where applicable, I generally also use Acronis AES256 encryption for the backups.

The 3 scenarios of concern:
1. Data corruption, all original hardware available and in good working condition.
Ideally, replace only effected files/folders (including original permissions) from backup.

2. Storage hardware failure, laptop otherwise in good working condition.
Install a new SDD/HDD and restore.

3. Laptop destroyed or stolen.
"Clone" old system onto new system.

My primary concern is keeping the EFS data secure while ensuring it is available should I need it for any of the above scenarios.

It is my understanding that the EFS data may only be recoverable if using a specific Acronis backup type (unsure which one: files/folders, sector, etc.) is used and when restoring to the original machine.

Assistance/advice is greatly appreciated.
