backups not listed when opening Acronis

Thread needs solution

I opened up Acronis True Image 2015 and the backups that I have made are usually listed. However, I just opened it up (wanted to store my pc to the backup made 2 days ago) and none of my backups are listed.

Where are they and how do I restore the pc that backup when there are no backups listed.

Thanks So Very Much

You should restore a disk and partition backup with the recovery CD. Using the recovery CD you will be able to browse to any backup you have, independently of whether it is listed or not in the Windows UI.
If you want to restore only files out a disk and partition backup, you can simply double click the TIB file that should contain the versions you want, also independently of the prior situation.
If you want to restore a file backup, or if you really want to see your backup in te Windows UI, you can click on add new backup, add existing backup, and continue.
Note that if you have upgraded to 2015, you should create new backup chains in an empty directory.

Try this.

If editing a backup task (which is not recommended), do be careful with the task name. BAcking out rather than using the cancel key can cause the complete loss of the task name and the task.

Okay, thanks so very much. I just thought that it was odd that my backups were listed on day and the next they were all gone from the list and when I looked in the help me file and follow the steps to add them back to the list when I open up the Acronis software I can't do so.

Thanks Again :)

Look in the storage folder where the backup files are stored and
1. See if all the tib files are listed there.
2. Confirm that the tib file name has the same beginning part of the name as when the task was first created but ignore the tib added suffix FULL_b1`_s1_v1

thanks for all the help. I can see the backups that are on the external hard drive. They just weren't listed any more when I opened up the software. Thanks again

I was able to find the backups when I plug in the external hard drive that has the backups on it and check for validation. It was just odd to not see then listed when I open the program. But all the new backups are showing up and those older ones have been replaced now. Thanks so very much for all the help. I really do appreciate it.
