Best Way To Go Using Acronis Home 2011 On Second Computer

I an using Acronis Home 2011 on my Windows 7 desk top computer. It has saved the day several times.
I just purchased a laptop running Windows 8 and would like to back it up to an external hard drive.

What is the best way to go?
1. Can use the Acronis Home 2011 on the lap top?
2. If so, will Acronis Home 2011 work on my Windows 8 machine?
3. Would it be better to purchase a second license for the Acronis Home 2011 program
OR
4. Should I just purchase the latest version of Acronis designed for Windows 8?
