Big problems with TI2011 bootable

Thread needs solution

I just "upgraded" to TI 2011 and am starting to regret it. I made the bootable CD. When I try to boot using it (and yes boot from CD has priority in the BIOS) 90% of the time it starts to load, flashes the initial screen and them proceeds to boot Win 7 from the hard drive. In the rare case it actually starts, I select to backup my boot partition on my hard drive to an external drive. I select the appropriate partition for backup and wait several minutes to be prompted for where to backup and a file name. After that a very long delay until any green shows on the progress bar, and then nothing for hours. My last attempt, I gave up trying to get the 50GB backed up after 8 hours.

Surely this can't be normal. Any solutions?

Oliver,

If you have a registered version of Acronis, go to your Acronis account and download the bootable media ISO. Burn it directly to a CD and try again.

OK. You have a Linux driver issue probably. Best solution at this point is to contact Acronis support to see if they can provide you with an image adapted to your system; they will need the Acronis System Report for that.
