Blinking and moving icon when paused
How annoying is that icon blinking and moving when the non-stop backup is paused? Is there any way to stop it happening?

There are also occasions when NSB fails to start and when you look in the log files there is a problem. This also cause the icon to flash on and off with the little red "x" it seems there is no other way but to let it carry on until it sorts itself out which it does eventually.
Not only do the icons flash in the system tray it also causes the pinned programs on the quick launch bar to change place which really IS annoying when you want to start one.
Another bug that needs fixing PDQ - I do hope the next update fixes ALL of the known issues because one way or another I seem to get caught by most of them at some point in time.

There's another post/thread with a solution for W7 users, which I am not (still happy with XP) - search the forum on "icon blink" and you'll find it.
I'd love to see this fixed, and will wait a bit for an update - but it drives me nuts when I'm travelng!

Hello all,
Thank you very much for your posts. I will do my best to assist you.
The blinking cursor is caused by an issue with the Nonstop backup. We are still investigating it but I can suggest a workaround that can fix this problem. Please check this article and update the Nonstop backup module. If the issue is not resolved, please use the diagnostic utility provided in the same article and contact our Support team so that we can investigate the problem.
Please let me know if you have additional questions.
Thank you.

It's November, 2010, the product's rolled to the 2011 version, and the flashing icon is still there.
It's possible to alternately swap the icon with a blank one, making it visually flash without moving everything else around, yet you've chosen to make the icon actually disappear. As you know, your flashing icon impacts all of the icons displayed to the left of your icon and is a major visual distraction.
Stem load management is a fine idea, but your implementation is really poor.
Will this be fixed soon, or should I uninstall and request a refund?
