Boot fails after restoring the PC with a clone of the hdd

Dear Sir/Madam
I made a clone of my hard disk, with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit installed on it, using the utility contained in True Image Home 2011. This operation ended successfully. Then I had the necessity of restore the PC. So I formatted the internal hard disk and reversed the clone, contained in an external usb hard disk, on the internal hard disk of my PC using again the utility contained in True Image Home 2011. Also in this case the operation ended successfully. The problem was that the PC failed to boot. I tried to restore the boot using the restore bootable CD of Windows 7 and the utility for restoring the boot contained in it, but I did not succeed. Then I tried to use the console giving the command "bootrec.exe /fixMbr" but no result again. Do you have any suggestion to solve this problem? P. S. I tried also with True Image Home 2012, but the problem remained.
