Boot Image on Multiple Machines

Thread needs solution

I'm likely going to be starting up my own computer repair shop in the near future, and as such, I'm looking to start purchasing the necessary software to do everything above board, so to speak.

Along the way, I'm certain to encounter customers that want to upgrade to a larger hard drive or have me make backup images of their current machines, and for that purpose the True Image Home boot media seems to have exactly what I'm looking for.

The problem is that after reading through the knowledge base a bit, it doesn't appear that I can use the boot media on more than one machine legitimately. That's completely understandable for a 'Home' version, but as near as I can tell, even the $74 Backup and Recovery program doesn't license me to do this. Am I reading things wrong, or is there really no solution for a situation like mine through Acronis, aside from purchasing the program for each and every machine I service (which would seem ridiculous to me)?

If there is indeed not an option for this with any Acronis product, can anyone recommend a good product that would suit this need?

Hello Jimmy!

Welcome to our Forum, we're glad to greet you here. I understand your concern, and will be glad to shed the light onto the situation.

You are right, according to the Acronis License Policy you will need one license for one computer your are going to backup or restore. However for such cases as yours we do have volume licenses, which can be provided by the Sales Department only.

I will be glad to provide you with the direct contacts of the Sales representative, responsible for your area, but in order to do it, I need to know your phone area code. Could you please kindly specify it to me via PM

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!
