Boot Loop on restored drive Acronis TI v11.0

Thread needs solution

I have a HDD running hot so I decided to take the latest TI backup and restore it to a new (and larger) HDD. Restore went as advertised, no problems until trying to use the new HDD for the main system drive (having removed the old C drive from the system). It gets into what appears to be a Boot loop, loading profile(drivers) then looging off and coming back to the login screen. Seems to be a lot of vergiage in this forum and outside on the internet about this topic but most work arounds are focussed on saving the cloned drive. My (hot running) original C drive is still working so I switched back to that and can redo the restore if I need to do so.

Are there any simple workarounds to prevent the boot-loop instead of having to do complex repairs onthe retsored drive?

Hello Oliver,

Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help. Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.

Actually, the restored operating system should boot without any errors.

Please make sure that you are using the latest build of the program #8101. You can find out the build number by selecting "Help" option, "About". You can learn more on how to download the latest build here.

Have you restored the image from within Windows or under Acronis Bootable Media? If you have restored the system from within Windows, I would recommend you to use Acronis Bootable Media created with the latest build of the program.

Please see this article for more information.

Please let us know the results, we should be sure that the program runs flawlessly. If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other question do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.

Thank you.
