Bootable Acronis True Image Home 2009 is not working on IBM A21M, Gives Blank Screen

Hello,
The Bootable Acronis True Image Home 2009 Disk is not working on an IBM A21M laptop. When I choose Full Version the CD drive spins and then I get a blank screen. If I choose Safe Version it starts boot loader but then brings me back to the main screen again where it asks me to choose Full Version, Safe Mode or Windows.

I've installed TI Home 2010 on my HP e9150t desktop. When I launch TI I get a blank screen. Yet, it seems that the Non Stop Backup is working and the scheduled backup runs on the scheduled time.

Why is this happening and how do I fix it? The program had been working ever since I installed it a few months ago.
