Bootable Media - Downloaded -vs- Created

Thread needs solution

Like many people here, I only use the Bootable Media. Until now, I have always created my own Bootable Media after I install Acronis (which I later remove by re-imaging).

Then I just use the Bootable CD to do my backups.

I`ve never actually tried the downloadable Boot Media from my online account ??
My question is this :
What is the difference between the downloadable boot media -and- one that I create ?? The ISO file sizes are different, so they are NOT 100% indentical ? What are the benefits of one over the other (if any)?

I dont see any difference in its functionality but I prefer to create my own because I can chose what to start and reset the auto start timing. I think in the downloaded rescue media it is preset for starting the os if you do not select within the time specified.

From version 2011 onward there is no difference between the downloadable version and the installed one. 2010 and prior versions there is a difference in that the downloadable version would contain more up to date drivers. However these builds are now static, so they may be more upto date than what you have installed, but they won't be updated anymore nor will they be as upto date as the 2011/2012 versions.
