Bootable media hangs 90% of the time
Doesn't matter if I use USB or CD, booting from the media hangs about 90% of the time at the "loading Acronis" screen. On those rare occasions when it does boot, there is a brief error message about missing library files and then it loads and seems to work normally. the only other oddity I see is that it doesn't show any network being detected in the options screen.
System report is attached.

Makes no difference if I use the downloaded version or created version, it still hangs most of the time.

rdgrimes,
This is not uncommon to have Linux driver issues. Your options are:
- to contact Acronis support. They will ask for you system report and will ascertain whether there is a fix,
- to purchase the Acronis Plus Pack, which will allow to create a WinPE-based recovery medium. This uses Windows drivers and therefore has way more chances to support your hardware configuration.

Alternatively, you can use the free BartPE plugin download to create a WinPE build with any necessary drivers for your system. That plugin is designed for use with Bart's PE Builder (http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/ ) and Windows PE1 (WinXP/2003) sources only, but its content can be adapted for other WinPE uses if you know how.

There's another option, which is to purchase Paragon and leave this bug-fest behind me. I don't have a unique system or setup, the boot disc should work. Without it Acronis is pretty useless. Throw good money after bad to get it to work as it should have from the start? I think not.
Another loyal Acronis customer for years has left. Spent the better part of a day trying to find a magic BIOS configuration that would allow the boot disc to load. I have better ways to spend my time.
I'll be contacting support, but it'll be to get a refund.
