Bootable Recovery Disk

Thread needs solution

Unable to create a bootable optical disk for Win8 64 bit from newly installed True Image 2013. Tech support sent new [build 6528] Recovery Manager ISO file, but I still can boot from the original software disk, or one created w/the Media Creator.

Please detail exactly what happens when you try to boot from the recovery CD and also some details about your PC.

TI 2016 runs correctly - EXCEPT that I don't receive a "confirmation message" when I run "Validate" on a b/u I've created, in the Windows desktop app.

[Win 10 Pro - i7 desktop pc - 16 gb ram]

TI service/chat advised:

1] try running "Validate" from bootable media &/or recovery partion: I received message "Backup Checked Successfully". I don't know what the message is intended to convey.  Is the b/u "valid"? - "Is it corrupt"? Or was the "check" run "successfully"?  The "validation" message doesn't stipulate that the b/u is "valid" - only that it was "checked successfully". :)

2] Run the "repair" function from the application [to obstensibly repair any faulty/missing drivers]: I did so but I still don't receive a confirmation message after I run "Validate" from the Windows app.

'Backup Checked Successfully' does indeed mean the validation has run and it has passed.

If you run validation as a separate task, I think there is a bug in that you won't get an email message that it has been successful.
