bootable recovery partition

Thread needs solution

hey Guys,
I am having trouble finding a solution to what i am trying to do. This is bascially I want to do:
I want to create a bootable internal recovery acronis partition which I can reimage windows 7 in case of virus or spyware. So basically, in case of virus or spyware I want my employee to just boot up the recover partition and install Acronis recovery image into the other partition. Is this possible without the use of GRUB4dos and thorugh Acronis?
Please help me out.

Hello Raunak,

Thank you for posting. I will certainly help you with your question.

I would recommend activating Acronis Startup Recovery Manager which is an Acronis environment that you can boot into without using bootable devices. I would recommend to take a look at the following KB articles and if you need additional assistance please let me know:

 - Acronis Startup Recovery Manager

 - Activating and Deactivating Acronis Startup Recovery Manager

Thank you.

Raunak,

You cannot customize where the ASRM is. The best option for your case without any other tool is to use the default ASRM and to store the backups in the Acronis Secure Zone.

I know the post are over a month old, but if I may comment.
I used Acronis WinPE ISO Builder to add ATIH 2010 to the WinRE.wim file then mounted it and made a folder called Tools in
%root%\source\recovery then in %root%\source\recovery\tools I created a file called WinREConfig.xml with notepad
contents of file:

..\..\..\Program Files\Acronis\TrueImageHome\TrueImage_Starter.exe

The Acronis shows up at the bottom of the recovery menu. I made my Recovery Partition large enought to have the Image.tib file.
This works very well for reinstalling the system back to Drive C:\ but this is not a backup for drive failure.
Hope this helps someone.
Tom
