Booting into Black Screen on Dell PowerEdge R220

Thread needs solution

Hello,

on our new DELL PowerEdge R220 I cannot get Acronis 2014 to work. When I use the Boot CD or a Stick I created I just end up seeing a black screen. This happens right after the acronis banner which comes up after the selection window where I choose to start Acronis.

I am assuming the software has problems with the integrated graphics controller (Matrox G200eR)

Is there anything I can do to get Acronis to work? I never had this problem before.

I updated the following and it resolved the issue:

1. PERC H310 Adapter Firmware release 20.13.1-0002
2. Microsoft Windows 2012 64 Bit Driver for Dell PERC H310/H710/H710P/H810/SPERC8 Controllers
3. Dell Server BIOS PowerEdge R220 Version 1.4.0.
