Bootmgr Missing

Thread needs solution

Due to a registry problem I had to completely reload Windows 7 (64 bit) on my Acer PC.
I then reinstalled True Image 11 Home and loaded a Back Up Image of my system from an external drive.
Everything appeared to load properly and I received a message saying everything was recovered BUT when the system tried to boot I received the message: Bootmgr Missing.Any help / suggestions would be appreciated.

Verify that the correct partition is set Active. Usually, that error message means a partition that doesn't have bootmgr on it has been booted (because it's Active). Depending on the setup, the correct partition may be the Windows 7 partition, the System Reserved partition, or a custom partition setup by the computer's manufacturer.

TI 11 doesn't support Windows 7 so there may be some issues their too.

jcarz,
When you restored back you system last, did you restore the entire disk so that all partitions (both hidden and diagnostic) were restored. If not, I would boot from the TI Rescue CD and on the screen where you check what partitions are to be restored, checkmark each and every partition (includiing MBR) so all are included. Of course, in order to be able to select all partitions from the backup, the original backup had to include all partitions.

Also, if v11 gives you a choice, also recovery the Disk ID. If you have such an option, it will be on the screen where you select the target drive.
