BSOD caused by acronis driver

Thread needs solution

I have recently started to get BSOD crashes with the following crash dump:

On Mon 09/04/2012 15:50:55 GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\Windows\memory.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: tdrpm273.sys (tdrpm273+0x46F3E)
Bugcheck code: 0x24 (0xC08A5, 0x0, 0x0, 0x0)
Error: NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM
file path: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\tdrpm273.sys
product: Acronis Try&Decide
company: Acronis
description: Acronis Try&Decide Volume Filter Driver
Bug check description: This indicates a problem occurred in the NTFS file system.
A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: tdrpm273.sys (Acronis Try&Decide Volume Filter Driver, Acronis).
Google query: tdrpm273.sys Acronis NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM

Any thoughts?

Did Acronis previously work and this is a new issue or did this happen immediately after installing?

If the former, then start the installer and select Repair. This should put things back right.

If the latter, then try using msconfig to see if the issue goes away. If so, then it's probably a program/service conflict.

You can narrow down what is in conflict by process of elimination -- tedious but effective.

If neither then it's probably a driver conflict. This is harder to track down without help form Acronis Tech and a system report.

I have had 2011 version installed for ages without a problem and it seems to be a new problem. I wonder if it started when I installed the latest update to the 2011 version.

If so , then a repair might fix or else an uninstall, run cleaner

, then reinstall (using msconfig).
