Build 6857 installs slow on Win Xp
Thread needs solution
I downloaded today the new build 6857 and tried to install it on a Win XP machine. Nothing happened for about 15 min. Then a screen appeared and the set-up program checked online for updates.
After half an hour I rebooted and tried again after switching off all security software. Again nothing happend for 30 min.
Luckily after lunch the set-up program was ready for starting the installation.
On a Win7 machine (with anti-virus on) the installation was straight forward.
