Can I combine split backup files into one?
I created a full backup of my PC which for some reason (I was not aware of selecting a split backup) was broken into 50 3.99Gb tib files. Can anyone advise please if there is any way of combining the files into one large tib file?

Backup will also be split if you backup to a device formatted as FAT32, since FAT32 cannot handle files 4GB or larger. Format as NTFS.

Oh of course, that explains it! I just connected the external USB drive and created the backup. However, having explained it, can you suggest if it is possible to combine the multiple files into one tib file?

Files 4GB or larger are not possible on that drive, no matter what file type. To enable larger files, you must reformat that drive to NTFS. Note: this is a Windows limitation, not an ATI issue.
I understand all that and have converted the drive to NTFS. However, what I want to do is convert the 50 tib files to one file. Having done some more searching in the forum I've now found that it is not possible.

For anyone that may be interested I resolved my problem as follows:
Using ATI 2014:
1) Converted my split .'tib's using Acronis Backup Conversion under Tools and utilities to a single '.vhd' file.
2) Converted the single '.vhd' file to a single '.tib' file using Windows Backup Conversion under Tools and utilities.
3) Used the Validate option to confirm that the final '.tib' file was valid.

Acronis Backup Conversoin does not seem to exist anymore in Acronis 2019. however, it does include an option to convert to VHD, which end up being the same, I guess.
However, how do I then convert that vhd back to a tib file?
One option I tried was mounting the vhd drive (in my case as F). It seems to include the system partitions contained in the tib file, which is good. I am still concerned though, that if I create an image of the mounted vhd drive, will it still be a bootable system even though it was F during image creation?

Currently, there is no vice-verse conversion, but your approach should work - you can create an image of the system running from a .vhd file and then use this backup.
