Can I recover *.tib partition to a new, bigger partition?

Thread needs solution

Assume I created a (full) partition backup for partition C of size 30 GB with 64 bit Win7 OS system. The *.tib archive is backuped to an external USB hard disc.

A couple of weeks later the original hard disc crashes and I buy a new one.
On the new hard disc I create a similar but not exactly equal partition structure.
So the new partition size of C does not exactly match the old one.

Can I recover the old *.tib archive to the new partition C anyway (from TI Home Live Recovery CD)?

Peter:

Yes, provided that there is enough room on the new hard disk to fit the partition. For example, if the original 30 GB partition had 20 GB of used space and 10 GB unused, then you could restore it to a new partition of 20 GB or larger. When you restore, TI will let you choose a new size for the restored partition.
