Can TI Home 2012 backup a NAS drive

All my data is on a Buffalo network attached storage (NAS) box attached to my computer as my G: drive. Can I use TIH 2012 to back it up. Different sources have told me both yes and no. I've tried it and the initial full image is created. But when it starts doing incrementals it gets to a message that it si "cloning" and hangs. The time remaining keeps going up and up and up.
