Cannot create WinPE bootable with Acronis plug-in.

Thread needs solution

Working with ATI Home 2011 with the PlusPack installed on top.

Following kb13643, I downloaded the PE3.0 iso and extracted it to a folder called winpe.
Directed the Acronis iso builder to various sections of this folder. ERROR MESSAGE:
"The selected folder does not contain the required files. The resulting image will not boot."

I downloaded PE 2.1 iso and extracted to a folder called pe21. Directing the iso builder to this folder results in the same error.

Now following kb13641, I burned the 3.0 iso. Made sure .NET 2.0 was part of system, and installed 6.0 parser. Then installed WAIK from the iso.
Ran copype x86 to c:\winpe (which I had emptied before this). Directing Acronis iso builder to this folder also results in the same error, even though there are boot files in there. Contents:
Folders: boot; efi; WinPE_FPS
Files: bootmgr; bootsect.exe; winpe.wim

Why is this so difficult?

Versuche diese Anleitung mal:

In Step7 "oscding" ist falsch. es sollte meiner Meinung "oscdimg" sein.

Worked it out.
This will be successful if one installs the WAIK 3.0 (W7) first.

My problem from above stemmed from the fact that I pre-created the winpe folder; and to compound the mistake, named it winpe without the x86.
I didn't get the ISO sub-folder.
This is contrary to the copype script. YOU MUST NOT PRE-CREATE THE winpe FOLDER!
After invoking the Deployment Tools Command Prompt, run the command: copype x86 c:\winpex86 exactly like that.
(amd64 and ia64 are other architecture choices in place of x86.)

Now, when I point the Acronis WinPE ISO builder to c:\winpex86\ISO, it is very happy with that and continues. The rest is just default-accepting the "Next" boxes.
